A week ago, BJ Pascual released some teaser photos for the House of Laurel's Athletenique SS2012 Lookbook shoot. Rajo requested a change in my look and I thought this is just perfect timing to release my acrylics. Ms.Cara Sumabat, HOL's Production Manager, shared to me their colors for their Spring-Summer offering. Since my first set (CULT of HALCYON) is purely transparent, for HOL I injected colors to livened up the edgy facade of the pieces. Enjoy the photos from their 14-hour shoot! WOW. Athletenique Spring/Summer 2012.
Athletenique is a word play on "athleticism" and "ethnic", the collection is inspired by Rajo Laurel's
mantra of "fitness is fashion". The pieces feature sportswear elements
(such as mesh, knits, ribbing, garters) juxtaposed with an abstract take
on ethnic/tribal prints.
The collection launches on March 10, 2012. 9am-6pm at the House of Laurel.
