FauX Lanvin II

The beginning of an endless love affair...

The original look from SS09
I DIE the moment Lily Donaldson stepped out in that
yellow billowy top.

Another beauty from PreFall '09
Modeled by Hannelore Knuts.
He made gloves an essential to anyone's closet.

My version. The fabric is sooo cheap...I flipped when I heard it was like 50pesos/yard. Stupid me I should have bought more. ^^,

How I do the pinch...you need a lot of clips to achieve it.
The fabric was thick enough to form good swollen silhouette.
still not sure what kind of fabric it is...

The tulle ruched dress don by Lily Donaldson.
This is divine.

My faux take on the cloudy frock. I'm starting to think I'm a courtesan during my past life. Pardon for baring my skin again...

Finally an old photo, this was supposed to be with my first Faux Lanvin post but totally forgot about it.

Some tulle action. Layered my thrifted Massimo Dutti assymetric top with tulles. Of course, how can you forget the gloves... a must have to achieve the elegance behind Elbaz creations! Accessories and chain handle-turned-bracelet is also from my mother. Hehe she doesn't know. ^^,

Haaayyy... look at them.

All I need to have is this lavish, mouthwatering and consuming pairs from SS09. I dream that every single woman should own a pair. ^^,

Thank God for him... no offense to Cristina Ortiz.

OWS121909

Merry Christmas! I know it's late but not quite... Hehe ^^, Ok, well, i'd like y'all to meet my bestfriends! Mimi and Je organized some sort of a Christmas party for the group and we even had exchange gifts (we never did that when we're teenagers) a bit cheesy pero fun! Anyways, we collectively named our group OWS! You know the doubtful reaction when you don't believe it Haha We Love everything that is sparkling, crystallized and exceedingly gay to our eyes...but we're grown ups now and outgrown most of them. ^^, These guys are I must say my life without them maybe I'm suicidal. Joke! Pero seriously I love this fairies...eventhough some of them are peppermints na hahah ^^, but I still heart them.

From Left to Right : Doy, Reg, Mimi, Ton, Je, Mike and Oreo
The night could have been more beautiful and fun if Jay was there.
Get well my dear... We miss you!

I admit I'm a fashion mishap in this paddings.
I'm so tired from the bazaar I didn't mind covering them up.
it was totally fine until I saw this photos...

Ton is the super spontaneous type...

The arcade kid and the youngest of the bunch... a little bit of trivia. Oreo joined Eat Bulaga's Spelling Chuva (I can't remember the title na) during Grade 6 unfortunately he didn't bagged the prize. ^^, Spell NOVICE... Hahaha ^^,

Mimi was perfectly normal in a wedding bustier and denim. Effortless!

The singkits. --, Doy is my go-to friend...
He listens to everything and anything.

Hershey's Chocolate Collection > Milk, Dark and Mocha ^^, Mike is the most strongest and opinionated I would say. Emotionally and Physically. In this slim and gymnast physique,You wouldn't believe he can punch a wall. Mimi, aka Jojo the party animal and she LOVES Mariah! She would kill for her! Literally! The belter of the group. Obvious naman diba?! Heheh ^^,

Reggie is the architect... I cannot go into details about him hehe basta he likes boys! Enuf said! Haha ^^, Pero he's soooooooooooooooooo much fun to be with! SWEAR! With his boyfriend, Ronnie...I dunno know. It's the first time I met the guy. Ewan! Boyfriend nga ba!? Hmmm...

Remember Pepper Je... ^^,
Ang pagbabalik ni Pocahontas.

I LOVE you guys! MORE of this ha... Kisses :*

MIADORE launches in GreenMeadows Bazaar

I have been so puzzling to put up my own accessory line since like last year but my demanding job didn't allow it to happen. I know that it was pretty much hectic by the time we do our rounds for our Christmas Window but it didn't stop me so decided to come up with just five piece. The five were specifically handmade by moi...really fancy and intricate, I wanted something new and unique and nobody else's does and oh by the way, the label consists of my parents nicknames which is MIA and ADOR... I just added the 'e' to signify the second meaning which is "I ADORE" I dunno if it translates very well hehe ^^, I'm so happy with what came up... I'm not sure if the ladies will pick it up but I have high hopes for this craft and I really wanted to pursue this.

Choker made of sheen mesh fabric also with glass beads with crystal drop

My inspiration here would be the famous delicacy, Pastillas. Wrapped in stringed bugle beads. This one's not finished. I used a velvet lace ribbon for her strap...surprisingly but it was the first to be sold. Yey! ^^,

Made of nude mesh...
She is peculiar, stunning and precious.

Fringes in bugle and crystal glass beads.

The inspiration here would be the firecracker, but I was thinking it was like "Lumpiang Shanghai" ^^, Also made from mesh with sprouting 4-inch bugle beads and mirror glass beads.

Finally, the crowd favorite. Everybody was hypnotized by the teardrops...
Hopefully, I would be ready for summer. I hope. Sorry but I have to promote :) , if anyone wants a piece, I can custom-made one just for you 'coz I wanted it to be special. Send me a private message through my email.

Fashion Workshop : Fishnet GILET

This is what you call...frustration! ^^,
Kiddin'. Well, almost. this is probably what I love to do when I become idle. This is a fabulous find from a little thrift shop in Boni. Scouring a lacey gilet like this one is almost impossible.
Felt lucky to have found it...although I know I'm not gonna be able to used it as often but you can't fight over a P50 bargain. Okai, now here's what I have been lingering about...experimenting on one simple gilet to create copycats of what I can call my references in fashion.

1. VOLUME

A Salvacion Lim Higgins copycat...wore it as a backless top
with draped fabric. One is wool and the purple one
is cotton voile.

Together with my Mom's unused fabrics,
the cotton voile gave the perfect poof for the bow.
She used to be an educator that's why
she's got a lot in our closet. Pardon my birthmark...

2. SHEER

A flirty frock...xerox of the flamboyant and looker Zac Posen.
I pinched both panels to create a sensual neckline.
Wore the tulle as a tutu skirt and a sheer overlay
and a silk scarf as a belt.
By wearing the tulle down gave it
a more classy feel. ^^,

3. SLEEK

Channel the new Parisienne that resembles
Tom Ford's creation at YSL.
Topped it off with my thrifted Antonio Berardi jacket,
thrifted gilet as a bodice(worn backwards),
a wrinkled satin scarf again from Mom don as a pencil skirt.

4. UNISEX

Sexy Androgyny...wore it with exposed paddings and
high-waisted cigarette pants.
This has to be my favorite! ^^,

5. MODERN GLAMOUR

An Oscar de la Renta-esque beauty. Chos!
Again, I wore the gilet backwards
and used the braided frame as a detail.
To make it current, wore it with a PVC belt from MUNDO.

I can imagine Tina Maristela wearing it...

6. ELEGANCE

Focusing with the brading on the surface this one screams Old Hollywood.
I just wish they have sequins on for some glitz.
The fabric turned skirt is made of georgette.
I love the drop and flow of this fabric... all I need now is a red carpet. ^^.
